Work in Progress...
We like to share what's in the works behind the scenes - in more way than one!
Here is some documentation of R+J: Two Show Day, an ambitious, interwoven love letter to the theatre in its early days of development in the fall of 2021, our workshop in Edmonton in the spring of 2022, and our most recent workshop in Winnipeg in the fall of 2023

R+J: Two Show Day features two concurrent plays: a full, 70-minute production of Romeo and Juliet onstage, and a new script based on the relationships of a fictionalized cast and crew backstage.
Audiences will be split into two, and will watch one play during the first act and the other play during the second act. Viewers change locations at intermission as the production “rewinds” to the beginning, showing the audience what they missed from the other perspective. The interactive heartbeat of the play occurs when things go awry, and the backstage audience members are invited to actively participate in problem solving both on and offstage. |
